The F.P.A Says Goodbye to DJ K-Swift
On Monday July 21st, 2008, our member Khia Edgerton otherwise known as DJ K-Swift, passed away after a tragic pool accident at her home. DJ K-Swift was a major player in the Baltimore club music scene and was dubbed the "Club Queen" by her industry, fans and peers. She was a much respected radio dj & personality on WERQ-FM 92.3 in Baltimore and actually began DJ'ing at the young age of 11. DJ K-Swift was a member of the Violator-All Star DJ Coalition as well as a the all female squad The Murda Mami’s. DJ K-Swift was the only female record pool director in Baltimore and she also owned a production and graphics company called Club Queen Entertainment. Our condolences are sent to the family, friends and fans who loved her. She will be missed. Khia Edgerton was only 28 years old.
